Description

Clear brush, cut shoots and small branches, and accomplish light harvesting tasks with this thoughtfully crafted tool. Inspired by a traditional Japanese bush machete and constructed with heritage-quality materials, our Japanese Nata Tool unites versatile function and refined durability. The stainless steel, machete-like blade is paired with a solid steel core that runs the full length of the hardwood handle, providing both stability and added swinging weight. (Blade length: 12", Overall tool length: 21") Despite its robust construction, the tool remains thin and lightweight, making it an essential addition to any collection.

The Nata Sheath is the perfect blend of utility and design, offering robust protection for your Nata Tool. Crafted from durable 900D polyester with an interior liner, it safeguards the blade from dulling during real-world use. A stainless steel belt clip ensures easy carrying and quick access, while the sturdy handle strap keeps the blade securely in place. The open-end design allows for easy cleaning, preventing soil buildup and preserving the blade’s sharpness. Accented with full-grain leather and copper, it beautifully complements our Woodsman Collection.

Note: While versatile and durable, the Nata Tool is best suited for branches, vines, and kindling 2 inches or smaller in diameter. Attempting to cut through thicker logs, such as those 6 inches or more, can lead to damage and breakage.

Looking for a more robust tool? The Nata Hatchet is the heavy-duty sibling, capable of cutting through branches and larger logs up to 8" in diameter.
